Two Pastor-Filmmakers spearhead the first Christian Film Festival in the country

With the intention of spreading the word of God through film making, Pastor Rudy Fajardo and Pastor Mon Gabriel thought it wise to come up with a Christian Film Festival which will cater to all budding and professional filmmakers in the country.

Having served the church for quite a number of years while moonlighting in the showbiz industry, these two personalities are epitome of humility, kindness and sensitivity in helping people in need. Pastor Rudy Fajardo is a director while Mon Gabriel is an actor.  Fajardo is Operations Director/CEO of the Gospel Media Productions. A member of the Kapisanan ng mga Directors sa Pelikulang Pilipino (KDPP), he had made quite a number of films and won several awards for them. His film, "Apocalysis" will soon be released in selected theaters nationwide. On the other hand, Pastor Mon Gabriel is a character actor. He is a constant acting fixture in movies more so in soaps. He is a familiar face on television having acted in both ABS-CBN and GMA teleseryes. He was last seen in "Kadenang Ginto". Moreover, Pastor Mon will soon branch out into directing. He will start shooting his directorial debut soon.

The Christian Film Festival has 17 entries of which theme centers on God's role to men and man's role to God. All the selected entries were carefully chosen by several pastors in the country plus some award winning filmmakers. These entries have concepts which focus on celebration of God's gift and grace to mankind. The organizers of the festival has released yesterday a list of nominations for the awards night.

The movies will be shown on February 22, 2020 at QCXperience Theater, QC Circle in Quezon City. The awards night will be in the evening starting from 7:00pm.

The Christian Film Festival committee believes that  "what we are is God's gift to us; what we become is our gift to God."
