Direk Romm Burlat's three entries to the Christian Film Festival lead with a total of 30 nominations



The Christian Film Festival has released the list of nominations for its Awards Night on February 22, 2020 at the QCXPerience Theater in Quezon City.

The three entries of multi-awarded director Romm Burlat lead with 30 nominations in total. "Bata Bata Bakit Ka Ginawa" got 12 nominations; "Akay" with 11 and "Ama Ka Ng Anak Mo" with 7.

It can be recalled that the three films already won several awards in other film festivals including Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Actor and other technical awards. Fiona Yang already won Best Actress at the 6th Inding Indie Film Festival while Ailla Nolasco won Best Actress in the 5th Inding Indie Film Festival and Dangal ng Bayan Awards. On the other hand, Bidaman Ron Macapagal won three Best Actor awards for "Ama Ka Ng Anak Mo" and a Best Actor nomination for "Bata Bata Bakit Ka Ginawa". He won at Dangal ng Bayan Entertainment Awards, Star Buzz Film Awards and from the Department of Education Awards. Direk Romm Burlat won Best Director for "Ama Ka Ng Anak Mo " at the 16th We Care International Film Festival in New Delhi, India and a special directing recognition for "Bata Bata" at the 6th Inding Indie Film Festival. Both  "Akay" and "Ama Ka ng Anak Mo" were finalists at the 16th We Care Film Festival in India while "Ama" was finalist at the London Lift-off Film Festival in England.

"Bata Bata Bakit Ka Ginawa"  is nominated for Best Film, Best Christian Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography,  Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Christian Story, Best Musical Score. "Akay" is nominated for Best Film, Best Christian Film, Best Christian Film for Children, Best Christian Story, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Musical Score and Best Screenplay while "Ama Ka Ng Anak Mo" got nominations for Best Film, Best Christian Film, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Musical Score.
