Direk Romm Burlat: Honored for the 2nd time as one of the OUTSTANDING MEN & WOMEN OF THE PHILIPPINES

 

Multi-awarded director, Romm Burlat, is again hailed as one of the Outstanding Men & Women of the Philippines 2022. It was a tough selection because all the achievements of every nominee are considered by the top-notch judges coming from different fields.

It was the 2nd time Burlat was given this recognition. The first one was in 2018.

Direk Romm is one of  the Filipino directors who has won several best director and best actor awards in international film festivals. He was elevated by Port Blair International Film Festival as Hall of Famer for winning 5 Best Director awards in its festival. His movie, Tutop, also won awards in Hollywood including Best Actor for him. His latest film, Minsa'y Isang Alitaptap starring Teresa Loyzaga, Gina Pareno, Ron Macapagal and Diego Loyzaga was finalist at the Cannes World Film Festival. To-Date, Burlat has won 48 international Best Director awards, 34 international Best Actor awards, 5 international Best online TV Host awards and 10 local Best Director awards.

RIZA DORMIENDO: Beauty queen na dating mountain climber nagwagi sa Gintong Parangal

 

 

Dumadami na ang patimpalak ng kagandahan sa mga babaeng may asawa na o sa single parent. Sa totoo lang pati ang pinaka “number one beauty contest” na Miss Universe ay naglabas ng anunsiyo kamakailan lang na sa susunod na taon puede na silang tumanggap ng mga babaeng may asawa na para makipagkumpetensiya sa patimpalak ng kagandahan.

Isa sa mga humahawak ng titulo sa kumpetisyon ng kagandahan para sa married women ay si Riza Dormiendo. Hindi mo akalain na ang dating mountain climber na medyo boyish ng kabataan niya ang tinanghal na Mrs. Philippines Face of Beauty International 2019. Hindi lang yan isa din siyang dancer na naging Tango Champion noong 2019.

Sa katatapos lang na Gintong Parangal na ginanap sa Okada Hotel ballroom, si Riza ay pinarangalan bilang isa sa mga successful Filipinos sa 2022.

Kasalukuyang may 29 awards na si Queen Riza sa pagiging beauty queen, business woman and dancer. Hindi talaga matatawaran ang galing ng mabait na beauty queen na ito.

Ngayong Agosto 23, paparangalan na naman ang ating reyna bilang Most Empowered Beauty Queen of the Year sa Gawad Karangalan Para sa Filipino. Excited si Riza dahil kabilang sa mga awardees sina Christopher de Leon, Aga Muhlach, Gabby Concepcion, Maricel Soriano, Direk Romm Burlat at marami pang iba.

Queen Corazon Ugalde Yellen Armenta was born and raised in the Philippines, the youngest daughter of former Philippine Air Force Brigadier General Aurelio Ugalde and Chony Ugalde. She graduated at Siena College and University of Santo Thomas. She started modeling at the age of 13, from Pepsi Cola, King’s Hawaiian Bread and San Miguel Beer. During luncheons at The Excelsior on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, she modeled couture ensembles for Yves St. Laurent, Gianni Versace, Celine and Lanvin.  She has modeled in the Philippines, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, New York, San Diego, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Paris and Cannes, France. As an actress, she had roles in Days of Our Lives, Dangerous Man, Corazon and Botyok sa America.  She starred in numerous stage plays and won the Best Actress by Virgo Awards for her role in There Was a Soldier. She is one of the stars of Hollywood Star in Paris Reality TV Show filmed in Paris and Cannes, France. She was the Founder of Beverly Hills Barbie Doll Club, with 1000 dolls in her collection and was dubbed The Living Doll as she modeled life size Barbie doll outfits for Barbie Doll Conventions in the USA and Germany. Queen Corazon is an author and a philanthropist, involved in several charity organizations. Part of proceeds from her Total Beauty and Life - A Beauty Queen’s Perspective book is donated to The Lighthouse Organization non profit group for domestic abuse awareness. She is one of the organizations’s ambassador, giving her time and volunteering for their cause. Her Queen Corazon Beauty Products partial proceeds go to Gasa Charities and other charitable organizations. Cancer Hope Village was one of the Organizations that she was filmed for a TV Commercial in Thailand to promote Cancer Awareness. She takes time to feed the homeless, donate goods, attends barbecues for US Military Veterans and visit sick US Veterans in the US Military Hospital to give balloons to cheer them up. She has donated and been involved in other charitable organizations - Share the Blessings Feeding Program in the Philippines and Africa, Gawad Amerika Foundation, Asian American International Foundation, Cyberspace Foundation, Artista of the Heart Foundation for disabled artists and Noble Queen of the Universe Ltd. Charitable Causes. She is an international TV Host of Queen Corazon Limelight TV Show, for Fil Am TV, which partly benefits the establishment of a Communal Garden Livelihood Project and Feeding Program in Caloocan City and Bohol in the Philippines, for planting trees, vegetables and medicinal plants for the residents.  Last year, she received the award from World Elite Foundation as Humanitarian of the Year. This year, she  received an award from Artista of the Heart Foundation as “Philanthropist of the Year”.  She was the first Filipina to model for a mannequin manufacturer. They sculpted her face to be immortalized as an Asian Mannequin worldwide.
