Mrs Philippines International U.K Jolina Loftus sponsors Acting Scholarship

 

Beauty Queens are not only known for their physical beauty but inner beauty as well. Each winner of a beauty pageant has a purpose--an advocacy to help other people.

One of them who excels in her advocacy is Mrs. Philippines International UK 2020 Jolina Loftus. Aside from being a model and a talented woman, Jolina always has a heart for those teens who want to try show business but can't afford to pay for their trainings. "I am a frustrated actress that is why I want to help showbiz wannabes achieve their dreams in show business", Mrs. Loftus quipped. 

Aside from her current title, Mrs. Loftus also won the following titles:

When asked when did she start as a model, Jolina has this to say, "I have walked the ramp of Birmingham fashion Event, the ChavsUK in London, Maniland Glamour fashion shows,  I modelled for Kays catalogue in the early 90’s and participated in a modelling competition at Davids Baron photography contest in North London  and recently  at the Elementz of Couture fashion show and was featured on Fashion Live  magazines as top 10  which was held in Birmingham"

For the record, Jolina has appeared in the Andi Eigenmann movie, Made In London where she played as Nigel's private lawyer.

Jolina is a supporter of the Childrens Society in England from year 2000 to 2008. Currently, she is an active as a member of the Keeping Kids Off the Street Charity in Milton Keynes helping the homeless young people  "My involvement  in a charity and civic group was instrumental  in my personal growth  as a teenager  then to a mature life.  It develop my sense of confidence and accountability in my decisions.  I am planning to continue my advocacy for young people in the Vox Juvenum and the Keeping Kids Off the Street Charity  because I believe young people have great minds, brilliant imagination the generation that will shape the future", Jolina said.

For her advocacy in helping teens in showbiz, two teenagers will now undergo extensive acting workshop with the international multi- award winning director, Romm Burlat.

Romm Burlat wins Film Director of the Year


There's no stopping for Direk Romm Burlat in winning awards one after the other. He was adjudged as Film Director of the Year during the Ganap TV Digital Awards held recently.

It can be recalled that last week, Burlat won Best Actor at the Golden Sparrow International Film Festival for his excellent portrayal in Covered Candor (Tutop). He also won back-to-back as Best Actor for a full-length film (Tutop) and short film (Mammangi) plus a Best Director award for the latter at the Gona Film Awards in India.

As of this writing, Burlat already won 26 international Best Director awards, 15 international Best Actor awards 2 international Best Screenplay awards and 1 international Best Producer awards. On the local front, Direk Romm won 9 Best Director awards and 1 Best Actor award. In hosting, Burlat won 3 international awards as Best TV Talk Show Host.

Currently, Direk Romm is directing a BL series, Man & Mine Alone which is well received by viewers and continuously gaining positive reviews. This is aired in The Romm Burlat Network You Tube channel. He is also working on a Visayan horror-drama film, Mino. In April, he will have a new TV Talk Show billed, What's The Buzz? which he will be paired off with Viva Hotbabe Zara Lopez and 90s bombshell Sabrina M.

New TV Talk Show, WHAT'S THE BUZZ, premieres in April


An award-winning director plus two sexy stars form the latest triangle in showbiz talk show on television.

What do Direk Romm, Zara Lopez and Sabrina M have in common? Aside from being showbiz personalities, these three celebrities will host what is known as a talk show like no other.

What's The Buzz will tackle the latest issues not only in showbiz but also issues about online business, pageantry, health, tourist attractions, Covid situation, real estate and more. So this is a show that addresses everything under the sun.

Direk Romm is not new to hosting. He used to host shows in other countries and has interviewed Hollywood stars like Dionne Warwick, Air Supply, Earth, Wind & Fire, American Idol Kathrine McPhee and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Host Regis Philbin. He also hosted a travel show on Euro TV, Romm Around the World and two shows on GlobalTV, Direk To The Point & Lies, Camera, Action which gave him 3 international awards in hosting.

Zara Lopez, on the other hand, has some hosting skills during her prime as Viva Hot Babe. Aside from being a gorgeous dancer, Zara also appeared in several movies starting in 2012. She also has done and is still doing teleseryes in major TV stations.

Sabrina M is one of the 90s bombshells. She was introduced in the movie, The Claudia Zobel Story which was a box office hit. It was followed by several films like Talahib at Rosas, Laruang Buhay,  Aliw, Turuan Mo Ako. Sex Education and a lot more which made her one of the in-demand sexy stars during her time.

Two other personalities join this latest talk show in town. Kristine Quinto is the 2018 Mrs Planet. She is also a model and an actress. Jinky Joyce Aguilar is an enterpreneur who will share her knowledge on real estate.

WHAT'S THE BUZZ is scheduled to premiere on April 10th at the K5 Digital Media television.

Direk Romm Burlat is the newest Multimedia Star?

 

This article may raise collective eyebrows to some but there is no denying that Direk Romm Burlat is multi-faceted, multi-talented showbiz personality. 

He has already proven himself as a director. He won 26 international Best Director awards and 9 local Best Director awards as of this writing. Moreover, he has won 15 international Best Actor awards for his performances in Tutop, Mammangi, Agaw Pansin and Sindi. Direk Romm was also awarded in 2018 as Best Talent Manager in the 39th Asia-Pacific Entertainment Awards.

On television, he has already directed a show on cable TV and hosted and directed one show on EuroTV billed Romm Around The World and two shows on GlobalTV namely Direk To The Point and Lies, Camera, Action. In April, he will be hosting a new talk show billed What's The Buzz where he is paired with Viva Hotbabe Zara Lopez and 90s Bombshell Sabrina M. As host, Burlat already won three international awards as Best TV Talk Show Host at the 1st Southeast Asia Entertainment Awards, Port Blair International Film & TV Festival and Uruvatti International Film Festival.

On top of being a director, actor, talent manager, Direk Romm as he is fondly called,


is also a writer. He used to write for Agila ng Bayan and now he has a column with Pilipino Mirror.

Burlat is a perfect example of Jack of All Trades. He does a lot of things with gusto which pave the way to winning awards not only locally but also on international level.

Direk Romm Burlat may be less popular to the previous Multimedia stars like Kris Aquino, Toni Gonzaga and Alden Richards but he is on his way to making himself known on what is doing. "I am scared of this title because this only belongs to Kris then Toni and now Alden. I am just using my talents to the hilt especially in this most difficult times. I don't even think that I will be called a multimedia star. Having a regular job is enough for me. And I will pale in comparison with the three popular stars. Nakakahiya", Burlat quipped.

Whatever it is, Direk Romm Burlat is a very talented showbiz personality. He was already honored as Outstanding Men of the Philippines in 2018 and in May, he will be awarded as one of the Philippine Faces of Success.
