Rob Torres to be launched in the movie, "Bata Pa Si Abel"


There are many stars in the sky and you can't count them all even on a clear night. In showbiz, there are also a number of upcoming stars and you don't even know them all.

The latest star in the fold of  ROMMantic Talent Management is Rob Torres. Aside from his good looks, this 17 year old 5'9" aspiring star is a singer, composer and has background in theater. He and his manager's paths crossed during the birthday celebration of former PMPC President Roldan Castro through the introduction of another veteran writer Rommel Placente.

Torres manager, Direk Romm Burlat, had him trained in a few events and was introduced in the movie, And I Loved Her. This former "The Voice" aspirant portrays brother to Bidaman Ron Macapagal whose parents are PBB Celebrity Grand Winner Keanna Reeves and Direk Romm. His performance in the movie which also stars Teresa Loyzaga, Rez Cortez, Richard Quan, Faye Tangonan, Neil Perez, Marlon Marcia, Zairah Madrid, Mika Mijares prompted his manager to launch him this summer via the movie, Bata Pa Si Abel.

With an intriguing plot never seen before, Rob will do a series of acting workshops before cameras start grinding this summer. He's envisioned to  follow the footsteps of another ROMMantic Ron Macapagal who was honed by Direk Romm in several movies before he won several awards and graduated into doing mainstream movies aside from being a regular at It's Showtime of ABS-CBN. Nevertheless, Rob will have his own identity.

With his looks, talent and good attitude, Direk Romm has high hopes for Rob to make it big in showbiz. He said, he has another gem in Rob Torres.

Maris Racal, Diego Loyzaga, Ron Macapagal, Lance Raymundo join forces in Romm Burlat's latest film, SURROGATE based on a true-to-life story



Direk Romm Burlat's winning streak continues with his new film project based on a true-to-life story. Surrogate is a story of a child who was left in the hospital by her biological mother after giving birth. She got adopted by the physician in that hospital. Her life has been a roller coaster ride until she went to the US believing there's a greener pasture on the other side of the fence. US, at the outset ,gave her a few luxuries but when she met her husband to-be, things turned sour. Her sacrifices got rewarded when she finally moved to the United Kingdom.

Maris Racal plays Ann, the protagonist of this film. Diego Loyzaga  plays Vince, the first husband of Ann whom she met in the care giving home. Ron Macapagal is JB, a seafarer who was the first memorable boyfriend of Ann. Lance Raymundo is Gibz, the best friend of Ann who knows her life from the tip of her head to the tip of her toe.

Mariz, Diego, Ron and Lance are the personal choices of Direk Romm.

Also in the movie, Surrogate, are Diether Ocampo, Joel Torre, Ana Roces, Gary Estrada, Evangeline Pascual, Teresa Loyzaga, Romm Burlat, Emil Sandoval, Adonis Laxamana, Liz Alindogan, Faye Tangonan, Angela Perez, Lester Paul and Zairah Madrid.

Shooting starts 28th of July in Manila then in the United Kingdom in August.

Actor Raymond Bagatsing joins Direk Romm Burlat and Direk Jon Montes in the ROMMantic Acting Workshop in London



Actor Raymond Bagatsing will be one of the facilitators in the ROMMantic Acting Workshop to be held in London, United Kingdom third week of  August 2020. He will join Direk Romm Burlat and Direk Jonathan Montes for this 3-day acting workshop for Filipinos and non-Filipinos living in the United Kingdom. This workshop is in preparation for the filming of Surrogate, a Direk Romm film based on a true story which will  have Cambridge, England and Manila, Philippines as shooting locations.

The ROMMantic Acting Workshop which has been going on for four years now have been continuously conducting workshops for kids, teens and adults in preparation to show business not only in Metro Manila but the provinces as well. This project is made possible through the tandem of Direk Romm and Direk Jon.

Bagatsing is one of the revered actors in the industry. He is one of the best actors of  his generation. Some notable films Bagatsing has starred in are  Crying Ladies with Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Soltera with Diamond Star Maricel SorianoSukdulan, Mumbai Love, Manalo, AWOL and Quezon's Game where he earned praises from the critics. He was nominated Best Actor at the Gawad Urian for his work in Boundary in 2012. His television acting history started in  1997 with ABS-CBN's  Mula Sa Puso.  He is currently doing The Soldier's Heart for the same station.

New ROMMantic, JayDee Bueno to do a Ben Affleck in a mild-erotic thriller, HAPTAY



ROMMantic Entertainment Productions goes a bit sexy in its latest offering in the tradition of Sharon Stone's Basic Instinct, CraigWasson-Melanie Griffith's Body DoubleBen Affleck's Gone Girl and the 1984 thriller Crimes of Passion.

New ROMMantic, JayDee Bueno, a grade 11 student, will play the role of Karlos, a repressed seminarian who was a victim of sexual assault when he was a kid. For his life to be given a new direction, his grandmother brought him to the seminary in the hope that he will become a priest someday. Along the way to his goal to be saintly, there are impediments that may lead to this mild-erotic thriller, HAPTAY.

JayDee an 18-year old 6'0 guy with a prominent 6-pack is the right choice for the role. Although this is his first film as a lead, his manager, Romm Burlat, is giving him short roles in the movies, Bakit Nasa Huli Ang Simula and And I Loved Her. He will also undergo extensive acting workshop to prepare for the role.

Haptay which is directed by the multi-awarded director, Romm Burlat, can not reveal what Haptay means. He said, the title will remain a mystery just like the whole story of the movie. The film also stars Chin Soriano, Mika Mijares, Bruce Lin, Vence Evans and Kimber Lee.

London Beauty Queen to be introduced in a true-to-life film, SURROGATE



In his search for a woman to play an important role in his forthcoming movie based on a true-to-life story, Direk Romm Burlat spotted a London-based Filipino nurse who exhibits the necessary requirements the director is looking for in the role. After being presented to the producer Ms.Belle Ramirez , Ms Clarisse Ann Lagman got the role. Immediately after approval, Direk Romm gave this very talented nurse a screen name, Clarisse Avelino which will be her name in other showbiz functions and for some forthcoming movies, TV shows and commercials.

Direk Romm feels doubly excited when he found out that this charming Filipino nurse is also a beauty queen in England. Clarisse just won Mrs. Philippines-United Kingdom. She will soon compete in the Mrs. Universe International 2020 to be held in the Philippines come July.

Clarisse is into music and has been excelling academically during her college days. She got High Honors during graduation. 

She first started working as a nurse in the land of milk and honey for most, the United States of America until she found her Portuguese husband and they moved to England and lived up to this day.

Clarisse Avelino is also a pageant director for Ms. EuroAsia Philippines. She was already featured on TFC K World, Net 25 for her achievements in life. She will soon be featured in CLTV 36 in the UK come July.

Diego Loyzaga, Maris Racal and Ron Macapagal to star in a new Romm Burlat film, SURROGATE


It's a fresh combination. A new triumvirate. A new experiment. We are talking about Direk Romm Burlat's new project titled, Surrogate.

A fast-rising actor, Bidaman Ron Macapagal, has been groomed by his manager, Direk Romm, for bigger and more challenging roles in every new project. Currently, Macapagal is still busy finishing his scenes in the romantic comedy, And I Loved Her which will take place in Manila and hopefully in Canada after their shoot last week in Claveria, Cagayan Valley. This 5-time Best Actor has already appeared on MMK and Ipaglaban Mo and is regularly seen in ABS-CBN's noontime show, It's Showtime.

Actor Diego Loyzaga just came back from a short hibernation in Australia. This young good-looking actor is now ready to face the cameras again. The showbiz bug has bitten him again. As we all know, showbiz runs in the blood. His parents, Teresa Loyzaga and Cesar Montano are actors for several decades now. Loyzaga has appeared several times on TV and movies. Notable of which are Pangako Sayo and his last stint, Los Bastardos.

Actress Mariz Racal is one of the busiest PBB alumni. She has appeared on television like Hawak Kamay, MMK, Ipaglaban Mo, Oh My G!, and Ningning and on films like Halik sa Hangin, Just The Way You Are and The Break Up Playlist.

This proposed combination is a plan of  the film director believing that the three stars have something in common: they are into music. Direk Romm believes that the movie will be music to everybody's ears. Based on a true story, the film starts shooting on July 28, 2020 in Manila and hopefully in London where the main character of which the story is based from is residing in London, England.

The cast may include Chanda Romero, Joel Torre, Teresa Loyzaga, Emil Sandoval, Liz Alindogan, Angela Perez, Adonis Laxamana and Faye Tangonan.

Actor Diego Loyzaga is Asst Director to Direk Romm Burlat's movie for Mother's Day


After a hiatus of more than a year, actor Diego Loyzaga is raring to make a comeback.

Being born to showbiz parents, actress Teresa Loyzaga and actor Cesar Montano, showbiz is in his blood which is why Diego can't resist the lure of show business.

Diego started showbiz at an early age of 15. He started with the popular TV soap, Mara Clara then the youth-oriented drama, Growing Up, He took a break in 2012 to finish his studies in Sydney, Australia where his actress mom is also based. Teresa, for her part, took a break from showbiz and worked as flight attendant of Qantas Airways.

The following year saw Diego coming back to showbiz via Maalaala Mo Kaya, Wansapanataym and TV soap, Mirabella. In 2015, he was revealed as one of the VJs of MYX. Diego was also in the cast of Pangako SaYo.  His last stint was last year's Los Bastardos.

This year, before signing another contract with ABS-CBN, Diego wants to try directing which is why Direk Romm Burlat offered him to be his Assistant Director in the latter's forthcoming movie intended for Mother's Day. Starred by his mother, Teresa Loyzaga in the lead role, Diego will work hand in hand with Direk Romm in the movie, Ang Ina Mo (Your Mother). He is also offered to star in a mainstream movie, Surrogate which he is sharing stellar roles with PBB Alumna Mariz Racal and Bidaman Ron Macapagal. Also starring in Surrogate which starts shooting in July are Chanda Romero, Joel Torre, her mom, Emil Sandoval, Liz Alindogan, Angela Perez, Adonis Laxamana among others.

Surrogate which is based on a true story is directed by Romm Burlat.

Bidaman Ron Macapagal and Rob Torres of "The Voice mobbed during the promotion of their movie in Cagayan Valley












Two ROMMantic Talents were mobbed during the promotion of their movie, And I Loved Her in Claveria, Cagayan Valley.

Bidaman Ron Macapagal gained popularity via ABS-CBN noontime show, It's Showtime for having placed a slot in the Top 6  of the search for Bidaman months ago. "The Voice" contestant, Rob Torres' singing voice melted a lot of female admirers everywhere he performs. The two got a lot of attention via applause, yells and unending photo opportunities while they did a promotion of their movie directed by multi-awarded director, Romm Burlat.

The romantic comedy had the picturesque Claveria as its first location. The shoot will continue within the month of March in Manila and hopefully end up filming in Victoria, Canada.

And I Loved Her stars Macapagal and Torres as brothers while PBB Celebrity Grand Winner, Keanna Reeves and Direk Romm Burlat portray their parents. Seasoned actress Teresa Loyzaga and Ultimate Antagonist in the Philippine movies, Rez Cortez, portray parents to the female lead, Faye Tangonan. Loyzaga and Cortez are also the grandparents of Canada's Child Wonder, Zairah Madrid who is being introduced in the movie.

The other cast of And I Loved Her are international Best Actor Richard Quan, Mister International 2014 Neil Perez, Eat Bulaga's Macho Man Marlon Marcia and upcoming young actress Mika Mijares.

WHO IS HOTTEST TO "HER"? Watch out in AND I LOVED HER


It's not just about love. It's not just about family. It's not just about friendships. It's also about "Hotness".

The latest offering of the multi-awarded director Romm Burlat is a romantic comedy but it is loaded with hotness in almost every sequence as Direk Romm puts together three hunks in this project.

Neil Perez, a policeman by profession, has given the country its first and only Mister International. Neil started the winning streak in Philippine male pageants. Also a professional model, Neil has been gracing fashion magazine covers and fashion ramps. He has started making a name in showbiz by appearing in some TV soaps and starred in his first starring role, Honor Roll based on a true story. The movie is also directed by Burlat.

Marlon Marcia, on the other hand, is already a byword in male pageants having won the Mister Model Universe-Philippines and represented our country in Dominican Republic. He also has some endorsements and films in the past. Marcia, is a member of  Eat Bulaga's Macho Men of GMA 7.

A constant fixture in ABS-CBN's It's Showtime and It's Showtime Online, Bidaman Ron Macapagal is one of the busiest young stars today. He is busy guesting on TV and doing movies aside from hosting and singing. To date, Macapagal has 6 Best Actors up his sleeves. He has also already done 3 mainstream movies from major studios and at least 10 indie films.

The three of them are part of the latest romantic comedy, AND I LOVE HER. These three hotmen are suspects as father of the child who is returning from Canada in search of a lost Dad. Is anyone of them a possible father based on their DNA results or none of the above?

The movie directed by Direk Romm is shooting on Saturday, March 7th and slated for a Valentine release next year in several theaters nationwide.

Eat Bulaga's Machoman Marlon Marcia joins the cast of AND I LOVED HER

A hot police officer Ricky is a toss of many women but had his taste of surprise when he met Tiffany (portrayed by Ms Faye Tangonan) in a huff and had a memorable tryst with her in the forthcoming romantic comedy,  And I Loved Her. Machoman Matador Marlon Marcia of GMA 7's Eat Bulaga joins the cast of this romantic comedy as Ricky.

Marcia is not new to movies as he had several indie films in the past like I Love You LC, Diary of 30, Bola and Putol to name a few. He has also appeared on television  like ABS-CBN's La Luna Sangre and GMA 7's Kambal Karibal.

Prior to joining show business, Marcia did commercials like Mang Inasal with Coco Martin and Angel Locsin, Bench Fix with Daniel Padilla and with SO-EN as its official endorser in prints, catalogues and billboards.

Earlier during his career, Marcia was into male pageants. He was first runner up in Bodyshots 2014 and winner of Mister Universe-Model Philippines where he represented the country in the international pageant in Dominican Republic. Tall at 6'0", Marcia is a constant fixture in ramp fashion shows.

Marlon Marcia's co-stars in the movie include Bidaman Ron Macapagal, Mister International 2014 Neil Perez, actors Teresa Loyzaga, Rez Cortez, Richard Quan, Faye Tangonan, Zaira Madrid, Rob Torres and Mika Mijares.

"APOCALIPSIS", the first Filipino Christian movie going on a promo blast before its showing in theaters



It's not everyday that a Christian Film of a bigger magnitude comes to you on a silver screen.

But Gospel Media Productions thought of coming up with one which will not only entertain viewers but also educate them on God's presence in our lives especially in trials and tribulations. The movie gives us insights on how to combat anti-Christ groups in this troubled times.

Apocalipsis is timely since it talks about what is happening to the world in the present time. Consider war, the forest fires in Australia, the simultaneous eruption of volcanoes in the Philippines, Japan and Mexico, kidnappings and the current influx of the dreaded N-Cov disease. Calamities have been happening right before our very eyes because people tend to forget our Almighty Creator.

The central character of the film is an infamous pastor, who after being involved in several ungodly activities in his life, reached to a stage of repentance. He experienced hiding in different places until he reached Montalban and hid in a cave.

It was a tough journey for this pastor but the good Lord touches his life again. The movie also tackles about Christians' disregard of their faith to our Heavenly Father.

Apocalipsis stars Carlos Agassi and Dan Alvaro with a cast of hundreds.

The movie is directed by award-winning pastor/director Rudy Fajardo, a certified member of the Kapisanan ng mga Directors sa Pelikulang Pilipino (KDPP). Fajardo's previous credits include Millenial, Alibughang Anak, Krusada, Alkansya, Rebelde among others.

Teresa Loyzaga to star in a romantic comedy to be directed by Romm Burlat



Actress Teresa Loyzaga continues to be in demand in both movies and television. After an award-winning performance in the "Grow Old With You" episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) of ABS-CBN, she is ready to face the cameras anew via a romantic comedy, And I Loved Her. When the grandma role was offered to her, she readily accepted the project as according to her, she's an actor,she can play any kind of role offered to her. "Blessing does not come everyday," Teresa quips. She's doubly excited as she will be paired off with Rez Cortez, They have the same manager in Tita June Rufino, Vice President of Viva Films, Inc.

Teresa is also in excitement knowing that the first shooting location of the film is the picturesque Claveria in Cagayan Valley. The municipality prides itself of beautiful tourist attractions.

To date, Teresa has 57 films to her credit. Currently, she is also in the GMA teleserye, Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday.

And I Loved Her directed by multi-awarded film director, Romm Burlat, starts filming on 7th of March. The film also stars Richard Quan, Neil Perez, Bidaman Ron Macapagal and Kristof Garcia, Faye Tangonan, Zairah Tangonan, Rob Torres and Mika Mijares.

After having been honored as Film Ambassador 2020 by the Film Development Council of the Philippines brought about by his recent win as Best Director at the 16th We Care International Film Festival in New Delhi, India, Direk Romm Burlat has been getting several offers to direct full length movies.

First on the list is the romantic comedy, And I Loved Her. For the first time, he will be directing thespians in the showbiz industry. Teresa Loyzaga is fresh from her award-winning performance in "Grow Old With You" episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. Former Actors Guild of the Philippines President Rez Cortez just finished his stint from his GMA 7's teleseryes, Dahil Sa Pag-ibig and One of the Baes. Richard Quan recently won Best Actor in an international film festival in Italy and Keanna Reeves just came out fresh from the hit soap, Killer Bride of ABS-CBN.

Tentatively in his project list includes a sensitive film about depression to hopefully star the one and only Superstar of Philippine movies, Ms. Nora Aunor, one of busiest celebrities today, Kim Chiu, Albert Martinez and Ron Macapagal in "That Silver Lining"; a film with Senator Manny Pacquiao and Yam Concepcion and a movie with Mayor Isko Moreno and his son Joaquin Domagoso.

Currently, Direk Romm is, at any moment, ready to shoot a Visayan horror film, Ban-Uk;  a film about Women Empowerment, Venus in my Mind and yes, And I Loved Her.

After Joshua Garcia, Bidaman Ron Macapagal plays son to Keanna Reeves

After Joshua Garcia, it's Bidaman Ron Macapagal's turn to play son to PBB Celebrity Grand Winner Keanna Reeves. The mother-son role of Keanna-Joshua was a hit in the successful TV series, "Killer Bride".

It's not the first time that Ron and Keanna worked together in a project. They were together in Ilagan, Isabela to star in a commercial directed by Romm Burlat. The Ilagan Tourism AVP is now a finalist at the Tourism International Film Festival in Riga, Latvia.

For their second project together, both will be working in a film billed "And I Loved Her". Keanna portrays the character of Vilma, mother to  Ron Macapagal's Manuel character. It is Keanna's first drama role on the big screen.

Ron, who already has 6 Best Actor awards up his sleeve, is in for another challenging role. He will be pitted against acting thespians like Teresa Loyzaga, Rez Cortez and Richard Quan.

"And I Loved Her", a romantic comedy, starts filming on 7th of March in Claveria, Cagayan Valley. It also stars  Miss Universe-International Faye TangonanMister International 2014 Neil Perez who already got a lead role in action film, "Honor Roll" also directed by Burlat, Bidaman Kristof Garcia, Rob Torres and Mika Mijares. The film also introduces Canada's Child Wonder, Zairah Tangonan.
